Job summary

Wiz, Inc. is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer in Australia to work with the CTO, Field CTO, and cross-functional teams to align efforts across the sales process.

You will help secure cloud and AI applications by integrating code, cloud, and runtime into a single context. You will collaborate with sales, product, and success teams to demonstrate business and technical value, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and guide customers through complex deployments in a fast-growing security platform

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in IT, InfoSec, Cloud and DevOps concepts.
• Experience with public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to code and understand developer workflows (Git, CI/CD, helm, Terraform).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and cloud networking.
• Ability to lead conversations with technical, business and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and business feedback to Product Management based on field engagements.
• Collaborate with Wiz sales teams on strategic opportunities to demonstrate value of the Wiz platform.
• Assist SEs and prospects during the POC process with advanced use cases, installation/deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Lead regular thought leadership sessions with field teams to improve messaging and value delivery for clients.
• Assist in messaging and selling Wiz platform capabilities to prospects and customers.

Role Description

As a Principal Solutions Engineer you will work closely with Wiz's CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D organizations to maintain alignment and ensure coordinated efforts across the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and business-relevant feedback into Product Management based on field engagements to improve Wiz's position and value messaging to prospects and clients.
• Collaborate with Wiz sales teams on strategic opportunities in demonstrating the business and technical value of the Wiz platform.
• Assist SEs and prospects during the POC process with advanced use cases, installation/deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Lead regular thought leadership sessions with the field teams sharing insights and approaches derived through customer engagement to improve our effectiveness in messaging and delivering value to prospective clients and existing customers.
• Assist in messaging and selling Wiz platform capabilities to prospects and customers.

Minimum qualifications

• Strong technical background with a solid understanding of core IT, InfoSec, Cloud, and DevOps concepts.
• Proven skillset and experience with a career path focused on public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience and ability to code and understand developer workflows (e.g., Git, CI/CD, helm, terraform, etc.).
• Solid understanding of computer networking concepts along with hands-on experience in cloud networking.
• Ability to lead conversations focused at various audiences including technical, business, and executive level.

Preferred qualifications

• SME level knowledge of Kubernetes and containers with the ability to architect and troubleshoot complex environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting various k8s distributions.
• Knowledge of ASM methodologies, network reconnaissance, cloud security, and vulnerability assessment.
• Comfortable leading security architecture discussions with various audiences.
• Passionate in regard to continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership.
