This senior role requires a Bachelor of Electrical/Power Engineering, Chartered/RPEQ/RPEV status desirability, and 10+ years in grid connection projects with R0–R2 knowledge; strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, Fyfe is expanding its Power & Connection capability and is seeking a highly experienced Principal/TeamLead Power Systems Engineerto play a key role inleading andshaping our growing team to deliverhigh-quality technical outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership position suited to an engineer with specialistexpertisein grid connection studies from concept through to execution.

You will be instrumental in delivering complex data centre, renewable energy and storageprojects, advancing technical standards, and supporting the continued growth of our sustainable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drivegeneration and load connect projects frominitial advisory, feasibility studies andimpact assessments acrossmajor developments including Industrial Facilities, Data Centres, Hydrogen, Solar/BESS Renewable Developments
• Mentor a team of engineers, fostering capability development and technical excellence
• Oversee project delivery to ensure outcomes meet quality, cost, safety and schedule requirements
• Apply innovative andadvanced engineering principles to solve complex problems and deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions
• Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and technical frameworks within the business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, network service providers, and project partners

Requirements

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering; Chartered, RPEQ, or RPEV status desirable
• Minimum 10 years' experience in grid connection projects with strong knowledge of R0, R1, and R2 connection studies
• Deep understanding of TNSP, DNSP, and AEMO requirements and proficiency in PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT
• Motivated to build, lead, and mentor a team while setting technical direction and standards
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a collaborative mindset
• Proven track record in technical leadership and project delivery
• Ability to operate at a strategic level while remaining hands-on technically
