Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a dynamic Principal Portfolio & Analysis professional to join the PC&A team in support of CCAP in Brisbane or Adelaide. You will lead portfolio analysis, forecasting, reporting, and planning to support decision‑making across Copper SA and BMA.

You will lead monthly portfolio reporting, budget planning, risk management, and performance metrics while coordinating portfolio systems like PlanView and driving BOS improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business (Finance/Accounting), Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
• Strong expertise in project cost control and cost systems
• Experience in a PC&A SME role within mining or major capital projects
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
• Solid understanding of project and portfolio risks, interdependencies, and critical paths

Responsibilities

• Monthly portfolio reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Cash prioritisation and budget planning (2-year budget and 5-year outlook) across assets
• Monitoring and analysis of OPEX and CAPEX portfolio performance
• Development and implementation of project and portfolio performance metrics
• Early identification and communication of portfolio risks and variances
