Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Principal in Investment Evaluation for a 12-month fixed-term role based in Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide. You will frame, evaluate and communicate the value, risks and trade-offs of major investments across BHP’s portfolio, with emphasis on Operational Decarbonisation in WAIO and BMA, collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial evaluation, investment analysis or commercial decision support.
• Strong financial modelling capability to assess value drivers, risks and sensitivities.
• Understanding of how investment decisions create shareholder value.
• Strong critical reasoning and ability to translate analysis into recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and influence thinking independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience in resources, manufacturing or process-driven industries advantageous.
• Relevant undergraduate degree; postgraduate finance qualifications preferred.
