Moreton Bay College in Queensland is seeking a Principal Percussion Teacher to lead percussion tuition across both campuses, shaping a dynamic and inclusive music program for secondary students. You will direct ensembles, deliver high-quality lessons, support co-curricular music, participate in concerts and camps, and collaborate with staff, parents and students to foster excellent musical outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualifications in Music or closely related discipline.
• Significant experience teaching percussion across educational settings.
• Strong record as an instrumental music educator.
• Current experience as a performing musician, ideally in professional contexts.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills.
• Collaborative approach within a high-performing music team.
• Ability to direct ensembles and deliver sectional rehearsals.

Join the vibrant Music Department of the Moreton Bay College as our Principal Percussion Teacher. This specialist role is integral to the continued success of our renowned music program, providing exceptional percussion tuition to students across both colleges.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality percussion lessons.
• Develop and implement engaging, individualised learning programs informed by contemporary pedagogical practice.
• Foster technical excellence, musical growth and a lifelong appreciation of music.
• Support and enhance the Colleges' co-curricular music program through ensemble direction, sectional rehearsals and immersion programs.
• Attend and assist with concerts, performances, music camps, auditions and other College events.
• Maintain accurate student records and fulfil reporting and administrative requirements.
• Actively contribute to Music Department meetings and collaborative planning.
• Model excellence as a practicing musician and inspire students through high-level musicianship.
