St Joseph’s Nudgee College invites applications for experienced Instrumental Music Tutors to join the Performing Arts Department on a part-time, term-time basis. Roles include Strings and Brass tuition for Years 5-12, preparing students for performances and AMEB exams, and supporting the ensemble program.

• Qualified musicians with practical performance experience.
• Experience teaching instrumental music in schools or youth programs.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group tuition to students from Years 5 - 12.
• Prepare students for performances, studio concerts, AMEB exams, and school events.
• Develop students’ technical skills, musicality, and performance confidence.
• Foster a love of learning and music through encouragement and high-quality teaching.
• Support the broader instrumental and ensemble program, including rehearsals and performances as required.
• Tutor in the Year 5 Music Immersion Program (essential). Immersion classes are scheduled on Thursdays.

St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Instrumental Music Tutors to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department on a part-time, term-time basis in the following areas:

Strings (Upper and Lower)

Brass (Lower preferred)

This is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise, inspire young musicians, and contribute to a dynamic and growing Performing Arts program.

The Role

Working as part of the College’s Music team and reporting to the Coordinator of Performance Music, you will:

Provide individual and group tuition to students from Years 5 - 12

Prepare students for performances, studio concerts, AMEB exams, and school events

Develop students’ technical skills, musicality, and performance confidence

Foster a love of learning and music through encouragement and high-quality teaching

Support the broader instrumental and ensemble program, including rehearsals and performances as required

Tutor in the Year 5 Music Immersion Program (essential). Immersion classes are scheduled on Thursdays.

You are a passionate educator and accomplished musician who thrives on helping students build confidence, skill, and creativity through music.

You bring:
