WSP is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and delivery for mining projects in Adelaide. You will provide technical direction, govern project teams, and drive asset improvement initiatives from concept through execution.

Ideal candidates bring 13+ years in mechanical engineering, mining experience, and Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership. Strong client engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proven experience delivering mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and project delivery activities.
• Provide technical direction and governance across project teams.
• Deliver studies, investigations, detailed design and asset improvement projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships with mining clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop mechanical engineers across the team.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables.
• Support project planning, budgeting and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and process disciplines.
