Job summary

BHP Group in Brisbane seeks an experienced Principal Load and Haul to join the Integrated Operations Centre. The role focuses on delivering an efficient truck allocation strategy across a large fleet to support the near-term plan and 24/7 operations.

Based in Brisbane on a 7/7 day roster, you will lead safety, performance and continuous improvement, mentor front-line teams and collaborate with Maintenance and Control to realise the weekly plan and effective deviation management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with a deep understanding of load and haul, mine design and scheduling.
• Ability to interpret, analyse and support optimisation of short-term haulage plans for 24hr and weekly horizons.
• Experience in engaging and empowering multiple crews, coaching and problem-solving across teams.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, engage and coach the team towards safety, inclusiveness and productivity goals.
• Support optimisation and delivery of all load and haul activities aligned to the Weekly plan.
• Acting at the asset level, manage load and haul risk and influence outcomes using tools and resources.
• Provide continuity of technical context to Execution personnel on various rosters.
• Shape the culture of the Integrated Operations Centre in alignment with the BHP values.
• Empower front-line teams and solve root-cause problems.
