Job summary

BHP Group's Integrated Operations Centre in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join as Principal Load and Haul. This pivotal role combines technical load and haul expertise with strong engagement to uplift our controller capability and optimise truck allocation across the coal and pre-strip operations.

Supporting 24/7 operations, the role operates on a 7/7 day shift roster. You will mentor crews, influence planning, manage deviation risk and help sustain a culture aligned with

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with deep knowledge of load and haul, mine design and scheduling.
• Ability to interpret and support optimisation of short-term haulage plans.
• Experience in open cut mining.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, engage and coach the team towards safety, inclusiveness and productivity goals.
• Support optimisation and delivery of all load and haul activities aligned to the Weekly plan.
• Proactively manage load and haul risk and influence outcomes in the Week of Operations.
• Provide continuity of technical context to Execution personnel on rosters.
• Positively shape the culture of the Integrated Operations Centre.
• Empower front-line teams and solve root-cause problems.
