Job summary

CompuTracts Pty Ltd (Business Name: Connect One Recruitment) – Canberra ACT seeks Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers to join a Federal Government team in Canberra, ACT. You will develop, maintain and enhance mission-critical Java solutions in a highly skilled Agile environment.

Responsibilities include building enterprise Java applications, designing solutions with Java, Spring Boot, Oracle and AWS, and implementing REST/SOAP APIs, React interfaces, CI/CD pipelines and software releases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise Java development experience with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate and Oracle databases.
• Strong experience with AWS services, REST/SOAP APIs, ReactJS, Git, Jenkins, Maven and Linux.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within an Agile development environment.
• Baseline Security Clearance.

• 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options.
• Hybrid working arrangement based in Canberra, ACT.

Our client is a Federal Government organisation, who are seeking Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers (Developers) to join their team in Canberra, ACT.

Role Summary

You will support, maintain and enhance a mission-critical application, developing enterprise Java solutions, cloud integrations and backend services while working within a highly skilled Agile development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services.
• Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle and AWS technologies.
• Develop REST/SOAP APIs, maintain React-based web interfaces, and support CI/CD pipelines and software releases.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in enterprise Java development with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate and Oracle databases.
• Strong experience with AWS services, REST/SOAP APIs, ReactJS, Git, Jenkins, Maven and Linux.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within an Agile development environment.
• Baseline Security Clearance.

On offer is a 12-month contract based in Canberra (Hybrid), with up to 2 x 12-month extension options and a highly competitive hourly rate.
