Evolution Mining seeks a Principal Geologist to lead generative exploration and identify gold and copper opportunities across Australia and North America. You will work with discovery and corporate development teams, combining geological insight with commercial thinking to progress projects and build a robust discovery pipeline.

Based in Sydney or Brisbane, this role offers relocation support options and a chance to influence opportunities from concept to execution within a growing global gold

Qualifications

• Strong exploration geology background with ability to identify and progress opportunities.
• Experience designing and executing exploration programs.
• Experience identifying, evaluating and progressing new exploration opportunities.
• Technical due diligence experience for exploration and operational opportunities.
• Knowledge of Australian and/or North American geological terrains and mineral districts.
• Exposure to gold and copper mineral systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence outcomes from concept to execution.

About the Role

Help shape Evolution’s next generation of discoveries.

Reporting to the General Manager Exploration, you will play the lead role in identifying, assessing and progressing gold and copper opportunities across Australia and North America.

This is not a traditional exploration role. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities, evaluating projects and helping build Evolution’s future discovery pipeline.

Working closely with discovery and corporate development teams, you’ll combine geological insight and commercial thinking to identify opportunities, build support behind them and turn ideas into action.

You are joining Evolution at a time of strong exploration momentum, backed by significant investment, together with an active project pipeline and a business committed to growth through discovery.

About You

You’re an accomplished exploration geologist with a passion for discovery and a proven ability to identify and progress opportunities.

You have a strong exploration foundation and understand what it takes to move a concept from opportunity through targeting, drilling and execution.

Curious and commercially minded, you’re able to recognise potential where others may not. You know how to build relationships and networks, influence stakeholders and bring support behind quality opportunities.

You’ll bring
