Evolution Mining is seeking an experienced exploration geologist to lead the identification, evaluation and progression of gold and copper opportunities across Australia and North America. You will partner with discovery and corporate development teams, focusing on new opportunities and building Evolution’s future discovery pipeline.

You will join a bold team at a time of strong exploration momentum, with significant investment and a flexible base in Sydney or Brisbane.

About the Role

Help shape Evolution’s next generation of discoveries.

Reporting to the General Manager Exploration, you will play the lead role in identifying, assessing and progressing gold and copper opportunities across Australia and North America.

This is not a traditional exploration role. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities, evaluating projects and helping build Evolution’s future discovery pipeline.

Working closely with discovery and corporate development teams, you’ll combine geological insight and commercial thinking to identify opportunities, build support behind them and turn ideas into action.

You are joining Evolution at a time of strong exploration momentum, backed by significant investment, together with an active project pipeline and a business committed to growth through discovery.

About You

You’re an accomplished exploration geologist with a passion for discovery and a proven ability to identify and progress opportunities.

You have a strong exploration foundation and understand what it takes to move a concept from opportunity through targeting, drilling and execution.

Curious and commercially minded, you’re able to recognise potential where others may not. You know how to build relationships and networks, influence stakeholders and bring support behind quality opportunities.

You’ll bring

• A strong exploration geology background, including experience designing and executing exploration programs.
• Experience identifying, evaluating and progressing new exploration opportunities.
• Technical due diligence experience for exploration and operational opportunities
• Knowledge of Australian and/or North American geological terrains and mineral districts.
• Exposure to gold and copper mineral systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to influence outcomes and progress opportunities from concept to execution.
