Job summary

SLR Consulting Australia, based in Perth, is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead the Environmental Approvals, Closure and Management team. You will advise on best practices, manage multidisciplinary projects, and drive key client relationships across Western Australia and beyond.

With 15+ years of experience in a consulting, government, or industry setting, you will mentor staff and develop client networks while delivering WA and Commonwealth approvals under relevant legislation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a consulting, government or industry environment.
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience delivering WA and Commonwealth approvals and knowledge of environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of environmental impact assessments and management plans.
• Mentor and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and implement team business plans and client strategies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across WA & NT where applicable.
• Prepare high quality reports and support client journey through approvals.
