Job summary

SLR Consulting Australia in Perth is recruiting a Principal Consultant to lead Environmental Approvals, Closure and Management projects. You will mentor staff, win work through client relationships, and guide multi-disciplinary teams across WA and beyond.

The role requires 15+ years in a consulting, government or industrial setting, with strong knowledge of environmental legislation, risk assessment, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
• Ability to win work through client relationships and business development.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permits, and approvals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice regarding best practice environmental and management principles to clients and internal SLR team member
• Assisting in the development and implementation of team business plans and strategies
• Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members
• Leading the development of environmental impact assessments, management plans and supporting our clients through their compliance and closure journey
• Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors
• Delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports
• Occasional travel to site may be required.
