Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualification in building field or equivalent level of experience.
• Registered builder by examination or eligible by equivalent process in another jurisdiction.
• Current WA C or C-A class driving licence (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide impartial and expert advice on building service complaints.
• Leads and manages the team to meet outcomes identified in the Branch Operational Plan.
• Conduct, source and coordinate the carrying out of building service inspections.
• Conduct investigations under the Building Services Act 2011.
• Participates in strategic and operational planning to deliver Branch objectives.
• Provide specialist advice on building matters to Complaints Officers and the Commissioner.
• Draft publications, policy and guidelines for communication to industry bodies relating to building matters.
