Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic School, Mundingburra, Queensland, is seeking an inspiring Primary Teacher (Prep) for a fixed-term role in the 2027 school year, commencing 18 January 2027. The successful candidate will join a supportive team and hold tertiary qualifications with registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers.

You will design engaging Prep lessons, use diverse assessment methods, provide meaningful feedback, and foster an inclusive, faith-based classroom.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Experience teaching early primary (Prep) is preferred.
• Ability to design engaging lessons and assess student progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach Prep (Kindergarten) with engaging lessons.
• Use varied assessment tools to track student progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support inclusive learning.

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 pending experience + Super + Allowances

St Joesph's Catholic School, Mundingburra is looking for an inspiring, passionate Primary Teacher (Prep) with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers to join our team for a fantastic fixed-term role working Mondays for the entire 2027 school year!

In this unique role, you’ll be teaching Prep, joining a supportive team of dedicated educators who work closely with families to create the best possible learning experience for every child. Your knowledge of contemporary teaching practices, combined with your ability to adapt and nurture a diverse range of learners, will ensure that each student feels included, valued, and confident as they begin their educational journey.

In your classroom, you’ll spark curiosity and a love of learning by designing engaging lessons, setting clear expectations, and continually reflecting on your practice to keep improving.
