Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with families and community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.
• Ability to implement high-quality, inquiry-based programs in primary settings.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve learning outcomes.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum using inquiry-based pedagogy.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and the community to support wellbeing and engagement.
• Mentor and support student teachers and junior staff as appropriate.
• Engage in professional learning and reflect on practice to improve teaching quality.
