Job summary

Hampton Primary School, part of the Department of Education Victoria, seeks an experienced classroom teacher to contribute to school priorities and provide high-quality teaching.

You will plan, prepare and deliver lessons, monitor student progress with data, and collaborate with staff to support student wellbeing and achievement. Provisional or full registration and LANTITE requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating learning growth.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching practice.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
