Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education in Queensland is seeking a Primary Teacher (Health and Wellbeing) for St Luke's Catholic Parish School, Capalaba. The role involves delivering wellbeing-focused learning across Part‑time hours (12 hours across two days per week) and contributing to a faith-centered educational community.

The successful candidate will create engaging, movement-friendly learning experiences, align with the Australian Curriculum, and work with families and staff to support students'

Responsibilities

• Making wellbeing part of every student’s journey, creating engaging opportunities that encourage movement, healthy choices, confidence and positive relationships.
• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
