Job summary

Mount Scopus Memorial College in Melbourne is seeking a Jewish Studies/Hebrew teacher for a part-time 0.60 FTE role at our Caulfield South Primary School. The successful candidate will bring Hebrew language skills, knowledge of Jewish culture and a collaborative, growth-minded approach to learning in an IB context.

Applicants must hold current VIT registration, understand Child Safe Standards, and be willing to contribute to the school's inquiry-based, transdisciplinary IB PYP program.

Qualifications

• Current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

• Ability to speak Hebrew and knowledge of Jewish culture and festivities.

Primary Jewish Studies and Hebrew Teacher (Part-time)

Mount Scopus Memorial College is a co-educational Jewish School from Early Learning to Year 12 across three campuses; St Kilda East, Caulfield South and Burwood. The College is an IB World School and authorized provider of the Middle Years Programme, and Primary Years Programme. These programmes help develop independent thinking, positive attributes, responsibility and a global outlook in students.

We are seeking teachers who are able to share their love of learning, their knowledge and practice of contemporary pedagogies, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.

Applicants must have a current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children. The successful candidate must be able to speak Hebrew and have knowledge of the Jewish culture and festivities. Experience with, and commitment to, the IB PYP is highly desirable.
