Job summary

Mount Scopus Memorial College in Melbourne’s Caulfield South Primary School is seeking qualified and experienced Individual Learning Teachers for a 0.60 FTE permanent role commencing Term 1, 2027.

Candidates must hold Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, postgraduate qualifications in Special Education or literacy/numeracy intervention, and at least three years’ experience supporting primary students in Literacy and Numeracy, plus a commitment to child safety.

Qualifications

• Current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education and/or literacy/numeracy intervention.
• At least three years’ experience implementing support and/or enhancement for primary school children in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child safety.
• Preferred but not essential: understanding of the PYP and Inquiry Based Learning.

Job description

Mount Scopus Memorial College is one of the world's most respected co-educational Jewish Day Schools. Operating across three world-class campuses in Melbourne, we support approximately 1,400 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 and employ a dedicated team of around 700 staff.

We invite qualified and experienced Individual Learning Teachers with a growth mindset and a passion for lifelong learning, who are inspired and motivated to work in a contemporary learning context, to apply for the (0.60) FTE part-time permanent position available at our Primary School in Caulfield South commencing from Term 1, 2027.

Applicants must have the following;

a current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching,

Postgraduate tertiary qualifications in Special Education and/or qualifications in research based Literacy and Numeracy Intervention.

at least three years experience implementing support and /or enhancement for primary school children in Literacy and Numeracy.

a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.

preferred but not essential, an understanding of the PYP and Inquiry Based Learning.
