Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy, plus respond to student learning needs.
• Experience planning for high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflection to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching and planning to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs and school policies.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as directed by the Principal.
• Engage with parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions; support co-curricular activities.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and use data to inform teaching improvements.
