Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a commercially focused Pricing Analyst to take ownership of the pricing function within a well-established national business in Australia. The role involves developing cost-based pricing models, analyzing profitability, and supporting commercial decisions across a complex operational environment.

You will work cross-functionally with sales, procurement, operations and finance to ensure pricing remains competitive while protecting margins and driving growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in pricing, commercial analysis, finance, category management or similar.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex datasets.
• Proven ability to balance commercial outcomes with margin performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve pricing frameworks, methodologies and governance processes.
• Develop and maintain cost-up pricing models.
• Monitor market movements and translate cost changes into pricing recommendations.
• Partner with commercial teams on pricing proposals, tenders and customer negotiations.
• Conduct margin, profitability and pricing performance analysis across products and customer segments.
• Support forecasting, scenario modelling and strategic commercial decisions.
• Provide insights and reporting to senior leadership to support business performance.
