Job summary

Sharp & Carter, on behalf of a leading Australian manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Commercial & Pricing Business Partner in Sydney. The role focuses on pricing strategy, governance, profitability improvement and business partnering with the GM of Sales.

Approximately 60% of the role covers pricing, margin optimisation and governance, with the remainder in FP&A, performance insights and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• Background in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Pricing or Revenue Management
• Strong experience partnering with Sales and commercial teams
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience driving pricing, profitability and margin improvement initiatives
• Ability to challenge stakeholders and influence decision-making
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or industrial will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing reviews, pricing governance and margin improvement initiatives
• Support customer negotiations, tenders, contract renewals and commercial proposals
• Develop customer and product profitability analysis
• Build financial models, business cases and scenario analysis
• Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive profitable growth
• Identify pricing leakage, commercial risks and opportunities for improvement
• Establish and improve commercial processes, frameworks and governance
• Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reviews
• Develop commercial dashboards and performance reporting
• Drive standardisation of pricing, profitability and commercial reporting processes across the business
