Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking suitably qualified Enrolled Nurses to join the StEPS program on a permanent part-time basis. The role involves visiting preschools and childcare centres across NSLHD to deliver vision screening to preschool-aged children, with 6-hour shifts and a driver’s license essential.

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse is required, along with experience with children and families and the ability to work independently in a community

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients, carers and the health care team.
• Knowledge of eMR or similar health records systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vision screening to preschool-aged children across NSLHD.
• Work independently within a community-based service visiting early childhood education settings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to sites.
