Job summary

Play to Learn Early Learning Centre in Toukley, NSW, seeks an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join as Preschool Team Leader and Senior Leader. The maternity leave cover offers opportunities to grow into broader leadership roles as we expand across the Central Coast in 2027.

You will lead the preschool team, partner with the Centre Director, and mentor educators while maintaining our high educational standards and commitment to quality experiences for children and families.

Qualifications

• Holds an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
• Has experience in early childhood education with leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• Committed to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.
• Willingness to mentor educators and lead a preschool team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preschool team and collaborate with the Centre Director on senior leadership tasks.
• Plan curriculum, model intentional teaching and support meaningful learning experiences.
• Support daily operations, compliance and team culture as part of the leadership team.
• Mentor educators to strengthen practice and deliver enrichment programs.
• Build relationships with families and the local community to foster belonging.
• Engage in leadership training and development for future opportunities.
