Job summary

Whiz Kidz Early Learning Centre & Preschool Pendle Hill seeks a qualified ECT to lead a Preschool Room, guiding up to 25 children daily. You will mentor room staff, apply EYLF principles and partner with families and educators to deliver high-quality, play-based learning.

You’ll be supported by leadership while shaping educational direction, ensuring child safety and inclusive practice across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised).
• Current NESA accreditation/registration as an Early Childhood Teacher.
• Experience with preschool-aged children.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and contemporary practice.
• Passion for preschool education and school readiness.
• Confidence working with educators, families and leaders.
• Ability to create calm, engaging environments for large groups.
• Understanding of child safety and inclusive practices.
• WWCC, Child Protection, Gecko safety training, First Aid & Anaphylaxis certificates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a high-quality, play-based preschool program aligned with EYLF.
• Plan intentional learning experiences supporting development and school readiness.
• Build strong, secure relationships with children and families.
• Create an engaging, inclusive, well-organised learning environment.
• Observe, assess and document children's learning and development.
• Use interests and individual needs to inform planning and practice.
• Support children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Collaborate with Educational Leader and Centre Director to strengthen practice.
• Contribute to a strong culture of child safety and wellbeing.
