Job summary

anzuk Education is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join a preschool team in Caringbah, NSW. You will deliver a high-quality programme, support children's learning and help prepare them for school.

Role focuses on direct practice in the preschool room, under the guidance of an experienced Room Leader. Full-time, not-for-profit service with competitive hourly pay up to $64 per hour for Proficient ECTs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level Early Childhood Teaching qualification required.
• NESA accreditation required.
• Minimum two years’ experience as an ECT in a preschool environment.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Current NSW Working With Children Check and full Australian working rights.

If you’re an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who loves working directly with preschool-aged children but doesn’t necessarily want the responsibility of running the room, this is an opportunity worth considering.

I’m partnering with an established not-for-profit early learning service in Caringbah to find an experienced ECT to join their preschool team.

You’ll work alongside an experienced Room Leader, focusing on what you do best: delivering a high-quality preschool programme, supporting children’s learning and development, and helping prepare them for a positive transition to school.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced ECT who wants to remain connected to children and educational practice without needing to take on a Centre Director or Room Leader position.

Working within the preschool room, you’ll support the Room Leader and wider team to deliver an engaging, inclusive and high-quality programme. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences
• Use intentional teaching to extend children’s learning and interests
• Contribute to a strong school-readiness programme
• Support curriculum development and documentation of children’s learning
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Contribute your ideas to educational practice and continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with an experienced preschool team

The service has a values-led philosophy that forms part of its educational programme. You don’t need to come from a Catholic background, but you’ll need to be comfortable supporting these values and incorporating the philosophy into your practice. Experienced team members are available to provide guidance and support around this.

About you

This role is best suited to an experienced preschool ECT who is confident in their practice and can bring strong knowledge of curriculum and children’s learning to an established team.

You’ll need:

• An approved Bachelor-level Early Childhood Teaching qualification
• NESA accreditation
• A minimum of two years’ experience working as an ECT within a preschool environment
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
• Confidence with curriculum development and documenting children’s learning
• A current NSW Working With Children Check
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Full Australian working rights

Due to the experience and qualification requirements for this particular position, Graduate Diploma-qualified applicants won’t be considered.
