Job summary

Flexalite in Melbourne is seeking a full-time Prepress Operator / Large Format Print Operator to join our production team. You'll work across textile dye sublimation, vinyl print and cardboard workflows, preparing artwork and operating the Durst P5 Direct-to-Fabric printer.

Training is available for the right candidate with strong large-format print experience. You'll contribute to exhibitions, retail environments, and brand activations, ensuring colour consistency and high-quality output for

Qualifications

• Experience in large format print production or prepress.
• Experience with vinyl printing workflows.
• Textile printing experience highly regarded.
• Durst equipment experience preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare artwork files for large format print production.
• Operate Durst P5 Direct-to-Fabric dye sublimation printer.
• Support vinyl printing workflows (SAV, wall graphics, display panels).
• Maintain colour consistency across textile and vinyl substrates.
• Monitor print quality and troubleshoot production issues.
• Manage RIP workflows and job queues.
• Perform routine printer setup and maintenance checks.
• Work closely with finishing and installation teams to meet deadlines.
• Liaise with clients.

About the role

Flexalite is seeking a Prepress Operator / Large Format Print Operator to join our production team working across textile dye sublimation, vinyl print and cardboard workflows.

This is a full-time position offering ongoing career development opportunities.

You’ll be involved in producing graphics for major exhibitions, retail environments, brand activations, and display rollouts, operating our Durst P5 Direct-to-Fabric printer alongside vinyl production equipment.

Experience with Durst equipment is highly regarded, however training is available for the right candidate with strong large-format print experience.

Key responsibilities

• RIP software experience (Caldera, Durst Workflow or similar) preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable, proactive team player
