Job summary

ALE Group in Toowoomba region is seeking a hands-on production operator to operate Direct to Film (DTF) printing equipment, prepare artwork and produce ready-to-apply transfers for clothing.

You'll work with a graphic designer and production team in a friendly, air-conditioned workshop, with full training provided. This role suits practical, detail-minded people who enjoy learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer logos and artwork for printing.
• Set up print layouts and manage daily print jobs.
• Check colours, sizing and artwork placement.
• Monitor print quality and consistency.
• Make basic artwork changes as required.
• Manage digital artwork and customer files.
• Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance of printing equipment.
• Work alongside Graphic Designer, sales and production teams.
• Assist with heat pressing and other production tasks as required.

Job description

This is a hands-on production position combining digital printing, artwork preparation and computer-based work. You'll take customer artwork from a digital file through to a finished print ready to be applied to clothing. Your main responsibility will be operating Direct to Film (DTF) digital printing equipment, producing vibrant, full-colour transfers for clothing and apparel. Some graphic design experience would be a great advantage, but you don't need to be a qualified Graphic Designer.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing customer logos and artwork for printing
• Setting up print layouts and managing daily print jobs
• Checking colours, sizing and artwork placement
• Monitoring print quality and consistency
• Making basic artwork changes when required
• Managing digital artwork and customer files
• Carrying out basic cleaning and maintenance of printing equipment
• Working alongside Graphic Designer, sales and production teams
• Assisting with heat pressing and other production tasks as required
