Job summary

Townsville Grammar School in North Ward invites applications for a permanent, term-time Prep Teacher Aide at the Annandale campus. The role supports literacy and numeracy programs, helping individual students and small groups under teacher supervision.

We seek candidates with a Minimum Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent), strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding. You must have a valid Working with Children Blue Card and eligibility to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children with a wide variety of needs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Minimum Certificate III in Education Support or other relevant qualification (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in the use of common computer software.
• Valid Working with Children Paid Employee Blue Card (mandatory prior to commencement).
• Eligibility to work in Australia (mandatory).
• Senior First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students and small groups to support literacy and numeracy.
• Provide assistance to students with disabilities or learning difficulties.
• Assist in supervising educational activities under a teacher's direction.
