Job summary

St Martin’s School in Carina, part of Brisbane Catholic Education, seeks an experienced Primary Teacher (Literacy & Numeracy) for a four-day-per-week fixed-term role commencing January 2027 with pro‑rata salary. The position supports students from Prep to Year 6, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.

The successful applicant will work with classroom teachers and leadership to implement Sounds-Write, ensure data-informed practice, and contribute to a caring Catholic learning

Qualifications

• Experience with Sounds-Write program essential.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver literacy and numeracy intervention.
• Current Queensland teacher registration required and Catholic ethos valued.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, learner-centred classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Design and deliver quality literacy and numeracy interventions with data-informed progress reporting.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and leadership to strengthen school culture and learning outcomes.
• Engage in professional learning to enhance student outcomes and pastoral care.
