Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Inspector for a 3 month, Outside IR35 contract in Northampton. The role requires experience in high-precision manufacturing and the ability to read engineering drawings.

You will perform dimensional inspections, operate CMM equipment, and support calibration to ensure specimens meet exact standards. The successful candidate will work with manufacturing and engineering teams, identify non-conformances, and help drive corrective actions to maintain quality across

Qualifications

• Experience in precision engineering/manufacturing environment (ideally motorsport/automotive)
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Good understanding of dimensional measurement techniques
• CMM operation experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Carrying out dimensional and manual inspection of precision-engineered components
• Inspecting components against engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Using a range of precision measurement and inspection equipment
• Supporting calibration and ensuring inspection equipment remains accurate and fit for use
• Operating CMM equipment and carrying out programmed inspections where required
• Identifying and reporting non-conformances and quality issues
• Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
