Job summary

R Moore And Sons in Kewdale, WA, is seeking an experienced Machinist/Tradesperson to join our machine shop.

You will operate manual and CNC machinery, refurbish engine components, and interpret technical drawings to tight tolerances.

We offer a full-time role, 38 hours per week, with overtime, flexible start times, and opportunities for development in a long‑standing family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical engineering or fitter/machinist.
• Experience in a machining environment and with engine components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Machining and refurbishment of engine and mechanical components.
• Setting up and operating manual and CNC machinery.
• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out modifications and repairs to components where required.
• Maintaining and servicing machinery, tooling and equipment.
• Completing job reports and production documentation.
• Collaborating with supervisors, tradespeople and apprentices.
• Working to tight tolerances and engineering specifications.
