WesTrac Tomago is seeking a skilled Machinist to machine CAT components in a modern workshop. You’ll work on high-value projects with no FIFO, enjoying a stable, long-term pipeline of work and paid training.

The role offers a 48-hour week with an early finish on Fridays, a rotating roster (days/nights), and on-site benefits including uniforms, parking, and a suite of family-friendly perks. Strong precision and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Machinist with Cert III or equivalent.
• Experience in manual and CNC machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tighten tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Manual & CNC machining of CAT components.
• Operate lathes, mills, borers, grinding and surface finishing.
• Work to tight tolerances and engineering drawings.
• Repair and rebuild work on large-scale mining equipment.
