Job summary

Movilift Australia Pty Ltd in Wollstonecraft, NSW, is seeking a skilled Fitter for a permanent full-time position. You will fit, assemble, install, maintain and repair equipment and components, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a trade qualification in Fitting and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong troubleshooting, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Fitting or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Fitter.
• Experience in fitting, assembly, installation and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Proficient with fitting tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and quality focus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measuring, marking and preparing components for fitting and assembly.
• Fitting, assembling and installing equipment and machinery components.
• Dismantling equipment to inspect and identify faults.
• Repairing or replacing worn, damaged or defective parts.
• Installing, aligning and adjusting assemblies and moving components.
• Checking dimensions, clearances and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Testing and adjusting assembled equipment to ensure correct operation.
• Performing routine maintenance and fault-finding.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe working environment.
