Flexco Australia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter based in Norwest NSW to join our team on a full-time basis. This hands-on role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operations across manufacturing and service delivery.

The successful candidate will read drawings, use precision tools, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance while upholding health and safety standards and collaborating with the team to meet project timelines.

Formación

• A relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, engineering, or similar discipline.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specs.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong focus on health and safety practices and regulations.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join the team at Flexco Australia on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role based in Norwest NSW that plays a crucial part in maintaining and assembling mechanical equipment and systems. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and mechanical components, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse equipment whilst contributing directly to the success of our manufacturing and service delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and align mechanical equipment and machinery components to precise specifications
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults and defects, implementing appropriate repairs and adjustments
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to carry out fitting work
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and equipment servicing
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on schedule
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in all work activities
• Identify opportunities for improvement in mechanical systems and processes

What we're looking for

• A relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, engineering, or similar discipline
• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and assembly techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
• A commitment to workplace health and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and precision in all work tasks
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence (desirable)
• Experience with CNC machinery or hydraulic systems would be advantageous
