Progress Rail in Revesby, NSW is seeking a qualified Fitter/Machinist to join our skilled team. You will machine and fit components into assemblies to high quality standards and interpret engineering drawings.

The role offers long-term security, training on crane, forklift and First Aid, and a safety-focused, collaborative workplace with opportunities for career progression. Heavy lifting and multi-machine environments are part of the daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Fitter/Machinist experience.
• Hands-on experience with manual machines like Saw, Lathe, Milling and Drilling.
• Welding experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to instructions.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and perform precise fitting.
• Heavy component fitting and machining experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with a productive and highly successful team

• Assist engineering team with new designs and appropriate feedback
