Job summary

Mulherin on the Gold Coast is seeking a proactive Supervisor to coordinate precast concrete installation across construction sites. You will supervise crews, manage subcontractors, and liaise with project managers, engineers, and crane teams to deliver safe, efficient installations that meet quality standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of precast erection methods, crane operations, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of precast erection methods and sequencing.
• Experience with mobile/tower cranes and lifting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precast shop drawings and lifting docs.
• Proven track record managing installation crews and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
• High Risk Work Licence and White Card are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate crane lifts, lift sequencing and access.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate precast concrete installation on construction sites. Manage installation crews, subcontractors and site personnel, coordinating daily installation activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Work closely with project managers, engineers, crane crews, builders and other site personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate crane lifts, including lift sequencing, crane positioning and site access requirements
• Ensure precast panels, beams, columns, stairs and other elements are installed correctly and safely
• Read and interpret precast shop drawings, erection drawings and lifting documentation
• Monitor project progress against installation programs and identify potential delays or issues
• Resolve installation and site-related problems quickly and effectively
• Maintain strong communication with clients, builders and other contractors
• Ensure all work complies with WHS requirements, lift plans, SWMS and site procedures
• Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure installation crews understand daily tasks and safety requirements
• Monitor workmanship and ensure installation is completed to project specifications
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure precast elements are available when required for installation

About you

• Strong understanding of precast concrete erection methods and sequencing
• Experience working with mobile cranes, tower cranes and/or other lifting equipment
• Good understanding of crane lifting operations, rigging and load handling
• Ability to read and understand structural and precast drawings
• Previous experience managing installation crews and subcontractors
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• High Risk Work Licence – Dogging, Rigging or Crane operation, White Card, or current driver's licence
• Stable position with an established Queensland precast manufacturer
