• Set up and operate digital production presses and finishing equipment.
• Load and manage paper and substrates according to job specifications.
• Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as required.
• Inspect printed material for colour consistency, registration, image quality, defects, and finishing accuracy.
• Assist with cutting, folding, creasing, binding, laminating, and other finishing processes.

Key responsibilities

Receive and check customer artwork and files for print suitability

Preflight PDF and other artwork files, identifying issues with fonts, images, bleeds, colour, resolution, and page setup

Prepare files for digital production, including imposition, trapping, bleeds, crop marks, and colour management

Make minor artwork corrections and adjustments where required

Manage colour conversions and ensure files meet production specifications

Set up and operate digital production presses and associated finishing equipment

Load and manage paper and other substrates according to job specifications

Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as required

Inspect printed material for colour consistency, registration, image quality, defects, and finishing accuracy

Perform or assist with cutting, folding, creasing, binding, laminating, and other finishing processes

About you

Previous experience in a commercial print, digital print, or pre-press environment preferred

Strong knowledge of PDF workflows, preflight, imposition, and print production

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Good understanding of CMYK, RGB, spot colours, bleeds, crop marks, and print specifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues

Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet tight production deadlines
