Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Unley is seeking a professional, can‑do Sales Manager to join our Certified Pre‑Owned sales team. You will lead the sales department, set targets, and drive revenue growth across the franchise while ensuring exceptional customer service and profitable outcomes.

You will manage stock, oversee promotions, and coach a team of sales consultants to adhere to our processes and standards. A strong leadership presence and Prestige automotive experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership ability.
• Demonstrated industry experience preferred, Prestige experience valued.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High standard of personal presentation.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Commercial acumen.
• Negotiation and marketing skills.
• Hold a current SA driver licence.
• Sound IT skillset.

Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-term sales targets for sales team.
• Ensure sales consultants follow the sales process in accordance with company procedures.
• Actively prospect and monitor new business opportunities with sales team, new clients and existing clients.
• Monitor market trends and advise the General Manager of changes in competition, product availability or related matters.
• Evaluate the performance of the sales team and provide regular feedback to sales consultants.
• Actively review and manage stock mix to minimise ageing and meet market activity and enquiry levels.
• Regularly review monthly P&L accounts, vehicle stock levels and stock ageing levels and identify areas requiring attention.
• Manage the accurate recording of sales and sales prospecting in the company prospecting system.
• Ensure all advertising, sales promotion material and branch displays are in accordance with agreed programs.
• Regularly review staff levels to ensure they are adequate to meet targets.
• Ensure customer service matters are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
