Job summary

Freyssinet Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Pre-Contract Engineer to shape projects from tender through contract award, working with Estimating, Design, and Project Delivery teams on civil, structural, and remedial projects.

You will own early project stages, interpret client requirements, prepare methodologies, develop cost plans, and ensure tenders are technically and commercially robust.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
• Experience in estimating, tendering & project engineering for civil or remedial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design principles and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
• On-site exposure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and commercial inputs for tenders and proposals.
• Analyse project documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Support pricing, risk assessments and value engineering initiatives.
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and suppliers for technical data and pricing.
• Prepare and present tender documentation for management review.
• Collaborate with Project Managers post-award to ensure smooth handover and delivery alignment.
