Job summary

SmartClinics Manunda is seeking a Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse) to join our friendly team. The role is available on a Casual or Permanent Part-Time basis to support work-life balance and service delivery in a busy general practice.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Chronic Disease Management and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing healthcare environment. You will work both independently and within a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential.
• Experience in general practice or emergency nursing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Experience in General Practice is not required but a willingness to learn, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

About the Position

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Chronic Disease Management and strong interpersonal skills. They will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care, and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.

Nursing tasks are varied and examples include:

• Chronic Disease Management
• Triage and management of acutely unwell patients
• Immunisations of children and adults
• Wound care
• Health assessments including workplace medicals
• Assisting with minor procedures
• Results notification and patient education
• Cold chain management

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential
• Availability to work full days (8:30am-4:30pm) with Monday and Friday availability preferrable
• Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable but not essential
• The ability to work both independently when required and cohesively within a team environmentDedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care
• Proficient computer skills (experience with Best Practice not essential but highly regarded)
• Strong communication and time management skills
