Job summary

Better Medical in Landsborough is seeking a casual Practice Nurse (Registered or Enrolled) to join our friendly team. Availability Monday to Friday with leave cover is ideal, experience is welcome but not essential.

You will work with doctors to deliver high-quality nursing care, participate in quality improvement, and adapt to changes to benefit patients and staff. A warm team player with strong communication and attention to detail is valued.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (general or specialist).
• Permanent full Australian working rights.
• Experience in general practice and/or emergency is preferable.
• Proficient computer skills; experience with practice management software is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapy and education for clients with chronic disease.
• Support doctors with day-to-day clinical duties and patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to professional ethics.

Job description

Doctors at Landsborough has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse (Registered or Enrolled Nurse) to join our team on a Casual basis.

This role is ideal for someone with availability and flexibility across Monday to Friday, with the ability to cover leave. Experience is not essential but will be highly regarded.

The Practice Nurse will:

• Be willing to learn and work as a team to provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
• Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
• Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines
• A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
• Have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail

Requirements

• Permanent full Australian working rights
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (general or specialist registration)
• Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable
• A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals
• Dedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills (previous experience with Best Practice software not essential but highly regarded, especially Medical Director)
• Strong communication and time management skills
