Job summary

ForHealth Group is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse Manager for Ipswich Medical Centre in Ipswich, QLD. The role leads a nursing team while sustaining high-quality patient care and clinical governance in a busy primary care setting.

You will work with the Practice Manager and Medical Director to develop team capability, coordinate recruitment, rostering and education, and ensure efficient clinic operations in a supportive, patient-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Leadership or management experience within a healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical nursing experience, preferably within General Practice or Primary Healthcare.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• A passion for developing and supporting clinical teams.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights.
• Evidence of vaccination history and immunity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Practice Nurses, Treatment Room Assistants and Medical Assistants.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the treatment room to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and rostering activities for the nursing team.
• Drive employee engagement, performance development and ongoing education.
• Deliver hands-on clinical care, including immunisations, wound management, health assessments and chronic disease management.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control and accreditation requirements.
• Manage treatment room equipment, supplies and stock levels.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Managers and support teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Foster a positive, patient-focused culture centred on quality care and continuous improvement.
