Job summary

Horizon Skin Cancer & Medical Centre in Forster, NSW, is actively recruiting a casual Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our dedicated team at our brand-new practice. You will deliver holistic patient care in a busy GP setting, with a focus on skin cancer diagnosis, treatment, and general health care for the community.

We value experience in primary care, strong communication, and the ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• RN or EN with APHRA registration.
• Experience in general practice or primary care preferred.
• Proficiency in immunisations, wound care, and stock checking.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Infection Prevention & Control guidelines.
• Manage cold chain and reprocess reusable instruments.
• Maintain documentation and recall/reminder systems in clinical software.
• Manage inventory and ordering of medical supplies.
• Deliver quality improvement activities for efficient patient care.
• Provide patient care including vaccinations, wound care, infusions, care plans and health assessments.
• Assist with chronic disease management and patient education.
• Assist with procedures and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Are you a Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse passionate about delivering excellent patient care?

Horizon Skin Cancer & Medical Centre is actively recruiting for a casual RN or EEN to join our dedicated team at our brand new purpose built practice at Forster.

We're looking for an experienced registered or enrolled nurse with a passion for primary health care to be part of our growing practice. You will be part of a team that provides a holistic and dedicated approach to skin cancer diagnosis and treatment and comprehensive health care to the community.

In this role you will:

• Comply with relevant Infection Prevention & Control Guidelines
• Have responsibility for Cold Chain Management
• Be responsible for reprocessing of reusable instruments
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage recall/reminder systems, data and clinical software
• Manage inventory and ordering of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Deliver continuous quality improvement activities and initiatives through the review of systems and procedures to ensure efficient and accessible care
• Provide excellent patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, infusions, care plans and health assessments
• Assist with chronic disease management and deliver patient education
• Assist with procedures
• Collaborate seamlessly with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

What will you bring?

• Current RN or EEN registration with APHRA
• Previous experience in general practice or primary care is highly regarded
• Strong communication skills with patient-focused approach
• Proficiency in performing general practice nurse duties, including immunisations, procedure assistance, wound care, and stock checking
• Experience with developing Care Plans and Health Assessments, showcasing leadership in chronic disease management processes
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Flexible availability to provide holiday cover when required

Experience with Best Practice software or similar is an advantage.
