Job summary

Alfa Medical & Skin Clinic in Cairns North is seeking a casual Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join a friendly, patient-focused team. The role includes immunisations, wound care, chronic disease management, and routine clinical assessments in a modern general practice.

You will work with experienced GPs, support staff, and use Best Practice software. Current AHPRA registration, CPR, and immunisation certification are required, with a willingness to obtain a police check.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• CPR certification is current.
• Immunisation certification is current or willingness to obtain.
• Experience using Best Practice software for patient records.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management and health assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a general practice.
• Perform immunisations and maintain cold chain procedures.
• Assist with wound management, dressings and minor procedures.
• Support chronic disease management and health assessments.
• Conduct ECGs, spirometry and other clinical assessments.
• Assist with care plans, recalls and preventive health activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Best Practice software.
• Ensure infection prevention and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and reception staff.

Casual Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse

About the role

This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a collaborative general practice environment. The successful applicant will work alongside experienced General Practitioners and our administration team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within a general practice setting.
• Perform immunisations and maintain cold chain procedures.
• Assist with wound management, dressings, and minor procedures.
• Support chronic disease management and health assessments.
• Conduct ECGs, spirometry, and other clinical assessments as required.
