Job summary

ForHealth is expanding with a brand-new Point Cook Medical Centre and seeks a Full-Time Practice Manager to lead operations from day one. You will oversee the centre, guide a multidisciplinary team across General Practice, Dental, Radiology and Treatment Room services, and drive exceptional patient experiences.

You will report to the Regional Manager and shape the clinic culture, processes and performance while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management experience in healthcare settings.

• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management systems.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing and healthcare compliance (desirable).
• Qualification in Business Administration or Diploma of Practice Management preferred.

The Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Practice Manager to lead our brand-new Point Cook Medical Centre opening in early November. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven healthcare leader to play a key role in launching a new clinic, building a high-performing team, and establishing a strong culture from day one.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre, supporting a multidisciplinary team across General Practice, Dental, Radiology and Treatment Room services, while driving operational excellence and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Your Responsibilities

As the Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of the medical centre by:

• Leading and supporting administrative and clinical support teams
• Managing staffing, recruitment, onboarding and performance development
• Coordinating rosters to align with patient demand and business needs
• Driving operational excellence through process improvement initiatives
• Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures and centre processes
• Monitoring centre performance and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives
• Promoting a patient-first culture focused on exceptional customer service
• Building strong relationships with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and key stakeholders
• Supporting quality improvement and accreditation activities
• Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Collaborating with Regional and National Leaders on key projects and initiatives

About You

• Previous leadership or management experience, ideally within a healthcare setting
