Job summary

ForHealth Group is launching a brand-new Point Cook Medical Centre in early November. We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to lead operations, build a high-performing multidisciplinary team, and establish a positive culture from day one.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will oversee daily operations, support GPs, dental, radiology and treatment room services, and drive excellence in patient experience while aligning with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading healthcare operations or clinics.
• Strong people leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing and healthcare compliance (desirable).
• Qualification in Business Administration or Diploma of Practice Management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative and clinical support teams.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, onboarding and performance development.
• Coordinate rosters to align with patient demand and business needs.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and centre processes.
• Monitor centre performance and adapt strategies to meet objectives.
• Promote a patient-first culture and outstanding service.
• Build relationships with GPs, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Support quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Ensure WHS compliance across the centre.
• Collaborate with Regional and National Leaders on key projects.

The Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Practice Manager to lead our brand-new Point Cook Medical Centre opening in early November. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven healthcare leader to play a key role in launching a new clinic, building a high-performing team, and establishing a strong culture from day one.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre, supporting a multidisciplinary team across General Practice, Dental, Radiology and Treatment Room services, while driving operational excellence and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Your Responsibilities

As the Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of the medical centre by:

• Leading and supporting administrative and clinical support teams
• Managing staffing, recruitment, onboarding and performance development
• Coordinating rosters to align with patient demand and business needs
• Driving operational excellence through process improvement initiatives
• Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures and centre processes
• Monitoring centre performance and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives
• Promoting a patient-first culture focused on exceptional customer service
• Building strong relationships with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and key stakeholders
• Supporting quality improvement and accreditation activities
• Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Collaborating with Regional and National Leaders on key projects and initiatives

About You

We're looking for an engaging and motivated leader who brings:

• Previous leadership or management experience, ideally within a healthcare setting
• Strong people leadership and team development skills
• Exceptional organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management systems
• Knowledge of Medicare billing and healthcare compliance requirements (desirable)
• Qualification in Business Administration or Diploma of Practice Management (preferred)
