Job summary

James Street Vet Hospital is seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations, teams, and client experience at our Logan Brisbane site. You’ll work with the Lead Vet and Nurse Manager to build a high-performing, engaged hospital environment while maintaining high standards of veterinary care.

The role covers operations, recruitment, wellbeing, marketing support, budget control, and compliance. A leadership mindset and passion for animal welfare are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience desirable.
• Passion for animal care and client services.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all business operations and veterinary services.
• Leading on employee matters including recruitment, workforce planning, wellbeing, performance, and development.
• Supporting client experience, loyalty initiatives, and service growth.
• Contributing to marketing, digital services, and social media presence.
• Managing budgets, stock control, procurement, and accounts.
• Ensuring WHS compliance, facilities, equipment and presentation standards.
• Supporting strategic direction and continuous improvement.
• Championing new initiatives, projects, and technology.
• Leading with transparency, collaboration, and a sense of fun.
